HOW TO ADD THE PERFECT AMOUNT OF COLOR TO YOUR BEDROOM

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! If you follow along on my Instagram account you know I'm crazy about the color blush. It's definitely my all time favorite color for home decor, clothing and just about anything else!

Today I wanted to share a few tips on how to add color to your master bedroom without it feeling too bold or over powering. My favorite way to introduce any color is through artwork, vases and textiles like blankets and pillows.

I love throws and I tend to have a few in every room! I added this chunky tassel blanket on the end of my bed layered with a pink throw. I love the way the mustard compliments the blush tone, but also breaks it up. The tassels add visual interest and having a couple blankets around can be so nice on those cooler nights or days when you want to read in bed. Pillows are another way to introduce color, pattern and comfort! My husband says I have a pillow addiction and I'm totally ok with it! I keep a lot of fun pillows around that I can layer and stack against each other. Again, this is another way to play around and have fun without committing to an expensive item you may get sick of.

On the table beside my bed I chose to add a vase in blush and I filled it with some pampas grasses. I tend to gravitate to boho, midcentury styles so this was a perfect choice for my home. You could add some succulents, your favourite books or even a pretty smelling candle!

Next up comes the artwork! I've learned to be a little more adventurous lately when it comes to art and I'm so happy I have. These prints by Little Lief Creative make such an impact and really set the tone for my room. Art is a place to have fun and let your personality shine!

I hope you feel inspired to add some color to your room whether it's blush or something else! A little color can change the whole feel of a space and it can be done relatively inexpensively. Happy decorating friends!
